13 Jun Nintendo 64 games will offer new features on Nintendo Switch 2.
Subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass have access to retro console games. While GameCube games are exclusive to Switch 2 players, Nintendo 64 titles are also playable on the original Switch. Players of the new console also benefit from additional features.
Two of the announced features are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, as confirmed by the trailer below: Firstly, the rewind function. This allows the player to go back a few seconds if, for example, they make a mistake. Secondly, a graphical effect: a CRT filter that simulates the image of old CRT televisions, thus providing an authentic retro experience.

While the rewind and CRT filter options for Nintendo 64 classics are exclusive to the Switch 2, the third feature is compatible with both consoles. Players can customize the controller controls to their liking.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be released on June 5th. The console will initially be offered in two different packages: one that includes only the console (€469.99), and one that includes a digital copy of Mario Kart World (€509.99).
