A new high school with a focus on e-sports is being built.

This is an innovative educational program in Buenos Aires, Argentina, aimed at young people with interrupted schooling, repeat offenders, or those who did not start secondary school at the appropriate age. It offers an official school diploma and professional certification in organizing esports events and creating digital content.

The city of Buenos Aires now boasts a pioneering educational offering: the Professional Secondary School specializing in Electronic Sports (EPS Gaming), a public high school that combines general education with professional training in organizing esports events and creating digital content. It is aimed at young people between the ages of 15 and 18 whose schooling has been interrupted, who have repeated a grade, or who did not start secondary school at the appropriate age.

This groundbreaking initiative puts gaming at the heart of learning and opens up new opportunities for inclusion and development. The opening of EPS Gaming is part of a global and regional phenomenon: the video game and esports industry is growing rapidly, fostering new careers, international events, and an increasingly specialized workforce.

The program, which has been running since April 8th at Vocational Training Center No. 28 in the Monserrat district (Venezuela 340), offers an official high school diploma with a focus on electronic sports as well as professional certification in two key profiles: Esports Event Organizer and Digital Content Creator.

EPS Gaming is part of the vocational secondary education model, a program that combines general education subjects such as mathematics, languages, social and natural sciences, and English with specific vocational training. It is structured in four levels and emphasizes the continuous support of students throughout their schooling. The curriculum focuses on the video game and esports industry and emphasizes the future of work and inclusion in education.

This proposal is part of a broader trend in which education in the gaming sector is becoming increasingly important. Internationally, institutions such as the Gaming Campus in Lyon, France, and ESAT in Valencia, Spain, are pioneering the development of specialized university degree programs. Regionally, Gamescom LATAM 2025 underscores the growing importance of Latin America in the global gaming scene.
